British fashion and lifestyle brand Wool and the Gang is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary by sponsoring British designer Matty Bovan’s first solo show at London Fashion Week taking place later this month.

The brand known for its woollen ready-made products as well as knit kits will also be continuing its support of Bovan with an ongoing collaboration with an exclusive special kit by the designer.

Commenting on Wool and the Gang’s support, Bovan said: "I am so excited to work with Wool and the Gang this season. I’m a big fan of both their yarns and kits. As someone who is passionate about sharing and learning these skills, I love how they have reintroduced these to a new audience via their kits.

“My work showcases textiles, knitwear and cuts in interesting new ways and I feel Wool and the Gang also work with these principles. To receive their support and be able to work with them on ongoing projects feels exciting, organic and supportive and I am very grateful.”

Jade Harwood, co-founder and creative director of Wool and the Gang, added: “We will not only be supporting Matty’s show at February's London Fashion Week, but also collaborating on some very special kits. We have admired his work since he first graduated, and are delighted to welcome him to the gang.”

This isn’t the first fashion collaboration from Wool and the Gang, previously the brand has worked with Giles Deacon, British Fashion Council, Christopher Raeburn, and & Other Stories.

Bovan will showcase his autumn/winter 2018 on February 16, this will mark his first solo show at London Fashion Week, previously he had shown three times as part of Fashion East.
