Yasmin le Bon takes over

26 May 2009

After fronting the latest issue of fashion and lifestyle publication Wonderland Magazine, British model Yasmin le Bon is launching a collection in collaboration with Wallis. Due this September, the YLB collection takes inspiration from Le Bon’s favourite wardrobe items and draws upon her Persian roots emphasising on clean silhouettes and subtle detailing. Comprising up to 30 styles, YLB will also include jewellery.

At 40, Yasmin le Bon still looks the part thanks to her kickboxing addiction. She was one of the very first supermodels in the eighties, and married Simon le Bon at the height of his fame at Duran Duran. Simon Thiselton captured her empowering character for Wonderland Magazine’s April/May ’09 issue. The former catwalk queen caused quite a stir with the car crash couture shoot. Daily newspaper The Sun reported: “Yasmin le Bon has given her aspiring model daughter a timely reminder of what she's got to live up to."

The YLB collection will be available exclusively at selected Wallis stores and online.
