New York - In the immortal words of Heidi Klum, "one day you're in, the next day you are out." Aldo Maria Camillo, the artistic director of Cerutti 1881 has left his post, in what seems like a surprise to many. The fashion house has said that Camillo has left to "pursue other personal interests."
They have declined to provide any other information regarding Camillo's departure from the company. Camillo himself was not available for immediate comment. Camillo originally came to Cerutti from Valentino where he was head men's wear designer. Prior to that, he was at Ermenegildo Zegna where he was the senior designer for formal wear and tailoring.
Speculation would say that Camillo might be leaving to start his own line, but, that could just be wishful thinking. Either way, with a resume like his a major design house would want to scoop him up in no time. It will be interesting to see what his next move will be when he joins the round of designer comings and goings again.
