J. Hilburn will be welcoming Andy Janowksi to their board of directors. The announcement came today, and his wealth of experience is expected to help propel the Dallas-based retailer forward. Janowksi was the former CEO of Smythson in the U.K., and his international experience could help propel J. Hilburn into the global market if they so choose.
In addition to his experience at Smythson, Janowski has also served as Chief Operating Officer of iconic British luxury brand Burberry, and he also worked for Gap Inc. for sixteen years. Janowksi's appointment to the board of directors follows a recent string of hiring's by J. Hilburn. Last year the company brought on Kristin Celko as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, and Melissa Brisbois as Executive Vice President of Sales.
On Janowksi joining J. Hilburn, Veeral Rathod, J. Hilburn's chief executive said, "I am pleased to welcome Andy to the J. Hilburn board of directors. He has a wealth of experience in branded apparel and strategy and we look forward to benefiting from his contributions." It will be interesting to see what Janowksi brings to J. Hilburn, and what this could mean for J. Hilburn moving forward. Perhaps expansion in the U.K. perhaps? We'll just have to wait and see.
