London - American Vogue editor and Condé Nast US artistic director Anna Wintour and former head of Apple Europe Pascal Cagni have been named board of directors of the Condé Nast-owned e-commerce site Style.com.
Style.com is set to relaunch as an e-commerce and omni-channel shopping experience next year, allowing users in the UK to shop the UK editions of Condé Nast brands Vogue and GQ through the magazines’ print editions or websites or directly through the Style.com website. It will initially be launched in the UK, before rolling out globally to other Condé Nast titles and websites.
The site was originally earmarked to launch this autumn, however, the publishing house has confirmed it will now launch in early 2016.
“Anna and Pascal bring the highest level of experience, know-how and authority to the Style.com board,” said Condé Nast International chairman and chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. “They are stars in their respective fields, each with a terrific track record of accomplishment.”
Wintour added: “The new Style.com will make the readers' editorial experience even richer and provide greater access and insights into the worlds they love. I am thrilled to bring everything I know about the fashion industry to a project that is brilliantly engaged with the present—and going to shape the future.”
Wintour and Cagni join Condé Nast US chief executive Chuck Townsend, Condé Nast US president Bob Sauerberg, Condé Nast International president Nicholas Coleridge, Jonathan Newhouse and president of Style.com Franck Zayan on the board.
