“Jason is a highly experienced practitioner in luxury brand building with an international perspective. In his previous roles he has applied his sophisticated management and leadership expertise to deliver consistent and excellent results. He has wonderful interpersonal skills and will lead our team and our business in Japan to ever greater performance and success," The company said in a statement.

Brown's appointment is effective immediately and he will be based in Tokyo.

As Anya Hindmarch is attempting to position themselves as a larger global retail player, Brown's role will be essential. Japan is a large part of their market, and is at the forefront of their plans for retail growth.
