New York - Iceberg, the Italian luxury fashion house, has named Arthur Arbesser the new Creative Director of its women's line. Arbesser succeeds Alexis Marshall, who left the company in February to join Carven. The Milan-based Austrian-born designer launched his own namesake label in 2013 after a stint at Giorgio Armani, so, he arrives at Iceberg with an impressive share of design expertise.

“Since the beginning, the brand stood out for the research, the new trends and the scouting of young designers,” Paolo Gerani, chief executive officer of Gilmar, which owns the Iceberg labe, said in a statement. “Arthur embodies the brand’s DNA and the Made In Italy craftsmanship.”

Arbesser was quoted in WWD saying, "Iceberg means color, graphics, quality and irony, distinctive marks which I have always searched and liked. I’m honored to continue the story of this iconic Italian brand, which was founded more than 40 years ago."
