Asos appoints Helen Ashton as Group CFO

The Board of Asos has appointed Helen Ashton to the role of Group Chief Financial Officer and on the main board of the company. Ashton will take charge of her roles on September 1, 2015 and succeed Nick Beighton, who is now Group Chief Operating Officer.

She has held a wide variety of senior management positions, including at Barclaycard, Lloyds Banking Group and most recently, debt management business Capquest. She has also held roles at ASDA Group and at GUS, among other companies.

Commenting on her appointment, Nick Robertson, Group CEO said, “Helen brings an unusual combination of deep financial experience, combined with her track record in consumer facing and retail businesses. She has also been involved in significant change management situations and has demonstrated great leadership capability. This appointment also frees up Nick Beighton to focus completely on his operational responsibilities”.
