French fashion label Carven has confirmed the appointment of Barnabé Hardy as its new creative director for its menswear line, following Guillaume Henry's departure from the brand.

Henry who left to take up the creative director role at Nina Ricci did design both women’s and men’s collections for Carven, however, the French fashion brand is separating the collections as the search for a new womenswear designer continues.

Hardy has previously worked with designer Nicolas Ghesquière, first at Callaghan and then at Balenciaga, and he also launched his own collection of sweatshirts and a line of leather jackets, which are worn by the likes of Mick Jagger. He will present his first collection for Carven for spring 2016.
