Barneys New York promotes Josh Lieberman

American department store Barneys New York has promoted Josh Lieberman, former senior vice president of digital marketing to executive vice president of digital to oversee the entire e-commerce and digital businesses.
Replacing Matthew Woolsey, who recently joined Net-A-Porter as managing director, Lieberman will now be responsible for Barney New York’s marketing, merchandising, operations, creative and technology.
Lieberman joined Barneys in November 2012 and has overseen a major revamp of Barneys.com and BarneysWarehouse.com sites, as well as the Barneys New York iPhone and iPad apps, which has led to increased speed and functionality of the digital shopping platforms.
Daniella Vitale, chief operating officer of Barneys New York, said: “From behind the scenes Josh has really been the driver of our fast growing e commerce business and expanding digital portfolio.
“He has provided incredible leadership, poise and guidance through the ever changing world of technology. We are thrilled that he will now oversee a business unit that will be the force behind Barneys' growth.”
