New York - Effective Monday, Benedict Smith will be the new Chief Financial Officer of Hunter Ltd. Prior to his new role at Hunter Ltd., Smith was the CFO of GAME Digital, and before that he was group CFO of Harrods for six years. James Seuss, CEO of Hunter Ltd., said in a statement that, "Benedict’s appointment comes at a key time for Hunter, as we move into our next phase of growth. His experience will serve us well, including his time at Harrods, as we continue to realize our ambition for the brand and grow both our retail and wholesale businesses, on a global level.”

Hunter has long been known for their signature rain boots, but they have been trying to step their presence up in other categories. During fall 2014, they made their London Fashion Week debut with a full scale runway show. In February, they held their third runway show which had quite an impressive roster of attendees.

The front row included Salma Hayek, Alexa Chung and Luke Evans, as well as Stella McCartney, who is married to Alasdhair Willis, the brand’s creative director. Hunter is continuing it's evolution into a full scale fashion label. They might be famous for their boots, but they are certainly working on finding their place as a full scale fashion brand.
