Copenhagen Fashion Week has appointed Camila Frank as the new Chief Executive effective December 1, 2016. Frank replaces Eva Kruse, who would now focus on Danish Fashion Institute’s new strategy regarding sustainability and Copenhagen Fashion Summit.
“It has been an exciting process finding the right candidate to follow in Eva Kruse’s footsteps. I am convinced that we have found the right person to implement the new strategy for the fashion week and to take it to the next level,” said Niels Eskildsen, Chairman of Copenhagen Fashion Week in the statement released by the company.
With 15 years of experience in the Danish media industry as editor in chief of several Danish magazines and lately as co-founder and director of Fashion-Post, Camilla Frank is a familiar face in the Danish fashion industry.
“I believe that Camilla has the right profile to take on the comprehensive role of leading Copenhagen Fashion Week. Furthermore, we are in the midst of developing a new strategy for the fashion week, so there will be ample opportunity for a new CEO to partake in forming the future fashion week platform. And on a personal note, I very much look forward to working with Camilla,” added Kruse.
Commenting on her new role as CEO, Frank said that Copenhagen Fashion Week is a strong brand both nationally and internationally and it will be a great task to both carry on and revitalise an already acknowledged fashion week.
