Iceberg's French women's wear creative director, Alexis Martial, is said to be one of the forerunners to take over creative direction at Carven.
After the fashion house former creative director Guillaume Henry left his position earlier this year to take a new role on at Nina Ricci, the label has been in search for a suitable replacement. According to WWD, market sources say that Carven is currently in talks with Alexis Martial.
Martial first trained in haute couture at one of France's most prestigious schools before he went on to start his career in 2007 at Givenchy, working alongside with the creative director Riccardo Tisci. In 2012, he was appointed creative director at Paco Rabanne before being asked to take over creative direction of Iceberg women's wear in 2013.
