Italian retailer Coin SpA has named Cristina Mollis as its first chief executive officer. In this role, Mollis will manage around 40 stores for apparel, beauty and home decor under the names Coin, Coincasa and Coin Excelsior, according to WWD.
Mollis founded Milan-based digital consultancy firm NuvÒ in 2008, according to her LinkedIn. The firm was acquired four years ago by H-Farm, and Mollis exited that company in 2018.
Coin SpA was acquired by Centenary SpA in March of last year. Shortly after, Giorgio Rossi was named president of the company. He told WWD that the company is in "a new exciting phase of its development" and that Mollis will provide guidance.
“The appointment of Cristina Mollis brings new energy and digital competence which will be key to evolve our business,” he added.
