London - Surfwear brand O’Neill is adding to its designer collaborations with a new collection with Cynthia Vincent using her tribal and floral prints on wetsuits and swimwear.
The collaboration follows the success of its collection with Anna Sui, which rolled out a couple of weeks ago, and is already seeing high turnover of pieces including a cream-coloured kimono and crochet bikini.
“We’re really careful to partner with someone who will elevate our current looks,” O’Neill women’s design director Rachael Hill told WWD. “There’s definitely synergy there. [The designer collaborations are] not necessarily a departure for us as much as it is an expansion and kind of captivating another customer we wouldn’t get otherwise.”
The Cynthia Vincent collection for summer 2016 is expected to hit stores in April and will cover three categories, sportswear, swimwear and wetsuits, with prices ranging from 46 to 200 dollars.
