Dondup elevates Matteo Anchisi to Chief Executive Officer

Italian fashion house Dondup, owned by the private equity fund L Catterton International since 2015, has announced the appointment of Matteo Anchisi as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Anchisi joined the company as sales director and global marketing manager in 2016. Furthermore, in 2018 he was promoted to the role of chief operating officer (COO). The company said in a statement, prior to joining Dondup, Anchisi increasingly shouldered major responsibilities in the areas of research, product, strategic marketing and sales management, operating in leading companies in the premium segment.
The company added that in his new role as Dondup CEO, Anchisi will focus on strategic goals, such as strengthening the brand on the international and digital level and enhance the brand’s corporate culture which is closely linked to the ‘Made in Italy’ aspect. The Dondup’s denim culture will remain a key driver for the brand’s development, while promoting research and innovation with emphasis on sustainable products and processes, under the new D/Zero project launched at the end of 2018.
As regards to the sales strategy, the company further said, great attention will be paid to wholesale channel, both physical and digital customers. The company reported a turnover of 54.7 million euros in 2017.
