Douglas & Grahame name Scott Crowson as new Retail Director GB

London - Independent menswear company Douglas & Grahame Ltd. have appointed Scott Crowson as Retail Director GB. In his new role, Crowson will be in charge of leading the company's retail development programme across England, Scotland and Wales, spearheading opportunities for franchise and concession arrangements.

Crowson brings 20 years of experience in the fashion industry with him as the owner of independent retail chain Coneys Designerwear in Boston and Lincoln. "As an established stockist of the company’s fantastic portfolio of brands myself, I’m confident of the potential which exists in the GB market for Douglas & Grahame’s brands and I’m excited to be part of this expansion strategy," Crowson said in a statement.

The new appointment is part of the company's wider strategy to increase its brand penetration in the UK and to support up and coming retail talent to become owner-operators of fashion franchises. Douglas & Grahame has a long track record of successfully launching new franchise and concessions which the company attributes to its commercial model as well as the drive of its existing independent retail stockists.

"We’re excited to be taking the next step towards our omnichannel business strategy with Scott, a long-standing business partner of Douglas & Grahame," added Donald Finlay, Managing Director of Douglas & Grahame. “Our business model has always been about working in partnership with our independent retail customers and we hope to further consolidate that position through Scott’s appointment and in the new opportunities Scott will develop for us."

In his new role, Crowson will be working closely alongside of group sales director Andrew Lowden to develop the expansion scheme. Based in Northern Ireland, with a sales office in Staffordshire, Douglas & Grahame is a supplier of menswear, childrenswear and school uniforms to the independent retail market under the Remus Uomo, Douglas, Wellington, Daniel Graham and 1880 Club brands. At the moment the company counts six franchise stores across the UK and Ireland, in addition to a number of concessions.
