Emily Vannucci George returns to Marc Jacobs as DTC North America president
US apparel group G-III Apparel Group (G-III) has named Emily Vannucci George as president direct-to-consumer (DTC) North America, with a primary focus on Marc Jacobs.
In her new role, Vannucci George will oversee the direct-to-consumer operations for US luxury brand Marc Jacobs across North America. The appointment marks a return to the brand, where she previously spent 19 years in executive leadership roles across global sales, wholesale, and retail.
Vannucci George announced the move in a LinkedIn post, saying: "I am incredibly proud and excited to be joining G-III as President DTC for North America with a focus on Marc Jacobs, a brand I spent 19 years with and one I have always loved and believed in. Being a part of G-III and Marc Jacobs again is a true honor, and I am beyond excited for what the future will bring!"
Strategic expansion in direct-to-consumer operations
The executive hiring aligns with the ongoing focus of G-III on scaling its owned brand portfolio and enhancing direct-to-consumer capabilities.

Extensive background in luxury retail leadership
Vannucci George brings more than two decades of luxury fashion management experience to the position. Most recently, she served as president, Americas and global wholesale director at French luxury fashion house Balmain, a role she held since December 2024 after joining the fashion house as president, Americas in January 2022.
Prior to her tenure at Balmain, Vannucci George held various executive leadership positions at Marc Jacobs from 2003 through 2022. Her positions included senior vice president, Americas - retail and wholesale from February 2019 to January 2022, as well as vice president of global ready-to-wear and accessories sales.
