New York - On Tuesday, September 8, Milano Unica, the Italian-based fashion trade show company, announced that Ercolo Botta Poala has been appointed their new president. Poala's most recent role was as CEO of vanguard Italian textile company Reda. Botto Poala's role will commence just in time for Milano Unica's February tradeshow.

Silvio Albini, Milano Unica's outgoing president, announced his departure at the 21st edition of Milano Unica, which was presided by fashion industry powerhouses such as Claudio Marenzi, president of Italy's Sistema Moda, and Carlo Copasa, president of Italy's chamber of fashion. During the announcement of his departure Albini said, "I believe that if we want to be successful we must protect, safeguard, defend, maintain and reinforce the already strong Italian textile apparel supply chain."

Milano Unica holds tradeshows all in cities and countries over the world including Milan, New York, Prima, and China. The tradeshow helps bring attention and business to the Italian textile industry. Botta Poala's experience in the Italian textile industry will continue to insure the company's success.
