Escada names new CEO

Iris Epple-Righi has been named the new chief executive officer of Escada, ending the company's nine month search for a new chief executive. Epple-Righi succeeds June McMahon who stepped down last July for personal reasons after just a six month tenure.
Epple-Righi won't be taking up her new position until September 1, however. Jorg Wahlers is still in the position of interim CEO, but he will return to his post as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.
Epple-Righi will arrive at Escada with years of experience at premium brands like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. She most recently served as president of brand management for Calvin Klein Europe. Before that, she oversaw product for Tommy Hilfiger, and prior to that she oversaw the brand's retail business. She began her career at Stuttgart-based department store Breuninger, where she spent 14 years and rose through the company's ranks.
In a statement Epple-Righi said "as a German national, it is a great opportunity to lead one of Germany’s most iconic fashion brands that has established a truly global presence, customer base and recognition.”
