New York - With luxury e-commerce seeming to be a growing business right now, Moda Operandi is beefing up their marketing team. Evelyn Kim, former Chief Marketing Officer at Reed Krakoff, has joined the luxury e-commerce site as Senior Vice President of Marketing, effective August 17. Reed Krakoff surprisingly shuttered operations earlier this year, but, despite the brand coming to an end, Kim proves to be no stranger to the luxury retail sector.

Her new role is part of the many new hires that Moda Operandi is doing right now as they expand their marketing and public relations team. Souri Kim, the former Senior Publicity Director at KCD, left his role to become the company's first Vice President of PR and Communications. Described as "the luxury department store of the future" by fastcompany.com, Moda Operandi has been a steadily growing operation known for carrying luxury brands like Isabel Marant, Thakoon, and Nina Ricci.

With statistics showing that the number of "ultra-rich" people increasing (people valued at over 50 million dollars), and those households increasingly shopping online, Moda Operandi is a luxury e-commerce dream. While their primary competition would be Net-a-Porter, in the wake of a developing luxury e-commerce boom, they are certainly preparing themselves to compete in the market by staffing up with employees. Kim will report to Moda Operandi CEO Deborah Nicodemus who's been working on redesigning the Moda Operandi experience.
