French Fashion Council sees changes

The French fashion council - Fédération Française de la Couture du Prêt à Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode - this week stated Kering chairman François-Henri Pinault has been elected to its executive committee. Pinault was selected in his capacity as president of Yves Saint Laurent.

It was a week of shuffling as the board of the Chambre syndicale du Prêt à Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode also elected Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion at Chanel, as its president.

Pavolsky succeeds Ralph Toledano, president of Puig’s fashion division, who in July was named head of the federation, the executive body for the Chambres Syndicales.

Guillaume de Seynes, managing director at Hermès, and Jean-Marc Loubier, president and ceo of First Heritage Brands, were elected as vice-presidents of the Chambre Syndicale du Prêt à Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode.

Founded in 1973, the Fédération's board are elected by the representatives of the houses which constitute its membership, the Fédération is the executive body for each of the specific Chambres Syndicales and is directed by Stéphane Wargnier, Executive President who implements the policy decided by the Executive Committee
