Property company Grosvenor, which has a 300-acre estate in London's Mayfair and Belgravia, comprising of 10 retail streets and nearly 400 units, has named Joanna Lee as its retail director.

Lee has extensive experience managing central London retail destinations, she previously held senior positions at Oxford Properties, where she was responsible for their London retail assets including The Royal Exchange, and at The Crown Estate, where she was responsible for delivering the retail vision for St James’s.

Grosvenor Britain and Ireland director for place-making, Will Bax, said: “Joanna will be responsible for curating some of the world’s most high-profile retail streets, including Mayfair’s Mount Street and London's premier design district in Pimlico Road.

“Our aim is to create and manage truly memorable places that offer special experiences and keep people coming back for more.”

Grosvenor’s Mayfair estate is currently undergoing a major transformation with the creation of a new fashion and lifestyle district between Duke Street and North Audley Street. It will shortly commence work on a Grade I listed landmark building on North Audley Street to create a new 14,500 square foot retail and restaurant flagship. The company is also redeveloping The Pantechnicon on Motcomb Street, which will become a food and retail emporium.

Lee joined Grosvenor on July 4 and reports directly to Bax.
