Hans Schmitt to leave SuperGroup for role at Diesel

Hans Schmitt, managing director for international and whole sales at SuperGroup is set to leave his current role at the end of the year to take on a new challenge at Diesel as Executive vice president of global sales.

He first joined SuperGroup in June, 2013 were he has been credited with creating new strategies for geographies, distribution channels, brands and product lines. Before joining the team at SuperGroup, he worked as an consultant at Blue Dynamic limited and was president of Warnaco EMEA.

Schmitt will be succeeded by Flemming Jensen, who first joined SuperGroup October this year, taking on responsibility for global whole sales. Jensen previously held a number of sales and operational roles during his 12 year tenure at Nike, and until recently was the global head of sales and operations at Triumph International.

“Flemming joins the business with significant international wholesale credentials and his experience operating in international markets will greatly benefit the company,” commented Euan Sutherland, chief executive at SuperGroup.

“On behalf of the board I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hans for his work in driving forward the group's international strategy and wish him well in his role at Diesel,” he added.
