London-based men's footwear and accessories brand Harrys of London has named former Mulberry executive Steven Newey as chief executive officer.
Newey, who was most recently global group commercial director at Mulberry, replaces Marty Wikstrom, who had been serving as the brand’s interim CEO. In a statement, Harrys of London confirmed that Wikstrom will remain actively involved in the firm as a board member and major shareholder.
“I am joining this business at an extraordinary time of expansion and global growth, and I’m delighted to be working alongside such an experienced team,” said Newey. “The next six months promise to be exciting and challenging as we take Harrys of London to new territories and new audiences.”
Prior to Mulberry, Newey served as general manager EMEA of Berluti, and retail area manager covering the UK, France, Germany and Austria, for Italian clothing brand Loro Piana. He also held key roles at Alfred Dunhill and Tommy Hilfiger after starting his career at Hermès.
