House of Fraser appoints new chief information officer

British leading department store group House of Fraser (HOF) has announced the appointment of Uday Kotla to the new role of chief information officer, effective from 20 April 2015.

In his new role, Kotla will be responsible for the continuation of development for technological led solutions across the business, as well as the integration of business needs with IT strategy and delivery in order to ensure House of Fraser achieves its global retail ambitions and multi-channel ambitions. Kotla will become part of the group's executive committee, reporting to the CEO of House of Fraser Nigel Oddy as well as to Sanpower Group CIO, Peter Wang.

"His appointment, which brings a wealth of experience, recognises the need to ensure our strategy and development are enhanced by the technology available across our increasing multi-channel and multi-territory business.”

Kotla brings over 20 years’ of experience in digital enterprise platforms with him to the new role and has led multiple transformation engagements for clients across businesses in retail, high tech and finance. Prior to joining House of Fraser, Uday was Global Head of Technology Consulting at Infosys Digital. Uday managed enterprise architecture, IT strategy and digital initiatives for companies including Walmart, Adidas and Tesco.
