House of Fraser creates new management position for Head of Sustainability

Premium department store group House of Fraser has appointed Dr Dorothy Maxwell as its first Head of Sustainability. In the newly created roles, Maxwell will enhance the group's current corporate sustainability commitments and values and embed them into the company's strategy and ongoing operations.
"Strong sustainability performance is essential for good business in the 21st century. I’m very excited to lead House of Fraser in shaping the future of sustainable retail," commented Maxwell on her appointment. Maxwell brings with her over 20 years of experience, working with a number of high profile brands including the likes of John Smedley and Nike. She has also led multi-stakeholder coalitions, including the Sustainable Clothing Roadmap, to drive sustainable production, consumption and the transition to a green economy.
