Ian Filby to replace Neil McCausland as Non-Executive Chairman of Joules

British lifestyle brand Joules has announced that Neil McCausland is stepping down as non-executive Chairman of the company on July 31, 2018 having completed more than five years of service on the board. At the same time, the group has announced that Ian Filby will join the board as Non-Executive Chairman on August 1, 2018. The company said, Filby has extensive retail and public company experience and is currently Chief Executive Officer of DFS Furniture Plc.

Commenting on his decision to resign from the Joules board, McCausland said in a statement: "It has been a great pleasure to Chair the Joules board for the last five years. The team, brand and customers are truly wonderful. I feel very proud to have been part of the significant progress and growth over this time, and I am certain that Joules will continue to go from strength to strength."

The company added that McCausland has overseen a period of significant growth and development at Joules since joining the business in 2013, including the brand's expansion across channels and into new international markets as well as the group's successful IPO in 2016.

"Neil has made a fantastic contribution to Joules' development. He leaves the business in great health and with multiple growth opportunities ahead. Ian is a highly respected retail executive and I am delighted that he has chosen to join Joules. I am certain that his experience and knowledge will be invaluable during the next exciting phases of the Joules' expansion," said Colin Porter, Chief Executive Officer of Joules.

On his new role at Joules, Filby said: "Joules is a brand with rare heritage and a loyal, growing customer base. I am delighted to be joining the group at such an exciting time for the brand both in the UK and in its target international markets."
