Is Asos looking for a new chairman?

Online fashion retailer Asos is said to be interviewing candidates to replace Brian McBride, who is expected to step down as chairman of the Asos board, reports Sky News. He has been associated with Asos for last six years.
According to the company’s website, McBride is also chairman of Wiggle Ltd, a private-equity owned online cycling and apparel business and sits on the UK government’s digital advisory board, facilitating the delivery of world-class public services through emerging technologies and digital trends. He is the senior non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee at AO World Plc, an online retailer specialising in household appliances, and a senior adviser at Lazard. He’s also a member of the advisory board of Scottish Equity Partners. Before joining Asos, McBride was the UK managing director of Amazon.co.uk from 2006 to 2011.
For the six months to February 28, 2018, Asos generated retail sales growth of 27 percent , with sales in the UK growing 22 percent and the company recording strong international growth of 31 percent or 28 percent constant currency.
