Lanvin is said to be in the process of finalising ex-CEO of Sandro Jean-Philippe Hecquet as its next Chief Executive Officer, reports WWD quoting sources familiar with the development. The report added that Hecquet has already resigned from his position at Sandro, which he had held since 2014, and that he would take up the new role at Lanvin in the fall. Currently, Joann Cheng, President of Fosun Fashion Group and Chairman of the board of Lanvin, is serving as the interim CEO at the French fashion house.

After China’s Fosun International has won the race against Qatar’s Mayhoola to acquire the troubled label with an investment of over 100 million euros, it has been on the hunt for a new chief executive to head Lanvin. After Fosun’s takeover of Lanvin, its then creative director Olivier Lapidus and general manager Nicolas Druz had left the business.

Report further stated that Lanvin is also searching for new creative head and that it looking at hiring either Haider Ackermann, Carven’s Serge Ruffieux or Simon Porte Jacquemus.

According to Hecquet’s LinkedIn profile, before joining Sandro, he was International Retail Director for Tag Heuer for two years, and prior to that was associated for eight years with LVMH, acting as country head in Canada for Vuitton, vice president of operations in North America, logistics and supply chain manager in Hawaii and category manager in watches and jewellery in Paris. He has worked with Mercedes-Benz France and online car sales start-up Latitudes-Diffusion.com.
