British womenswear brand Issa has promoted Jamie O’Hare from head of design to the role of creative director, following the departure of Blue Farrier in October.

O’Hare has been head of design with the British label since 2013 and will present his first collection as creative director for autumn/winter 2016 during London Fashion Week later this month.

"O'Hare will work to protect the brand's DNA of feminine, glamorous designs, whilst continuing to elevate and expand the product offering," the London-based label stated in a press release.

Issa chairwoman, Camilla Al Fayed added: "Jamie has a great understanding of the Issa brand values, and is dedicated to its evolution. I am delighted to announce his appointment as creative director and feel huge excitement about the future."

The Royal College of Art womenswear design graduate has an impressive CV working at Max Mara, Roberto Cavalli, and Chloé, where he headed up the See by Chloé design team.

Commenting on his promotion, O’Hare said: "It is an honour to be leading such a talented design team. We are all passionate about further developing the Issa brand."
