Kate Spade & Company has announced the nomination of Jan Singer for election to the company's board of directors. Singer will stand for election at the company's 2015 Annual Meeting of stockholders. The company also announced that Bernard W. Aronson and Kay Koplovitz will not be standing for reelection at meeting.

Singer has more than 20 years of experience in leadership and marketing roles for brands across the apparel, footwear and cosmetics product categories, both domestically and internationally. In July 2014, she became the Chief Executive Officer of Spanx, a privately held shapewear design, manufacturing and marketing company.

"Jan's branding and marketing experience in a range of categories makes her an outstanding fit for our board as we focus on our four category pillars, women's, men's, children's and home," said Craig Leavitt, Chief Executive Officer of Kate Spade & Company.

Prior to being named CEO of Spanx, Singer held various senior executive roles at Nike, including Corporate Vice President of Global Apparel and Corporate Vice President of Global Footwear. Prior to Nike, she was the Vice President and General Manager Global Product, Merchandising and Marketing for Reebok International's women's business. Singer has also held key marketing and global communications roles for Chanel, Calvin Klein and Prada.
