Fashion and lifestyle brand Joules has appointed former Ted Baker exec Paul Burden as head of licensing to explore new licensing opportunities for the brand.

Joining Joules in November, Burden will be responsible for planning Joules’ growth both internationally through its retail, wholesale, e-commerce and licensing channels, by building, developing and exploring licensing opportunities which align with the retailer’s brand. He will report to wholesale director, Penny Parry.

Burden’s previous roles include director of product licensing at Ted Baker where he was responsible for all licensed products including footwear, eyewear, watches, fragrance and home accessories. Prior to that, he was menswear design manager at Next.

Joules chief executive Colin Porter said: “We’re delighted to welcome Paul to the Joules team. His impressive experience and understanding of Joules’ strong brand heritage and values mean that he is well placed to explore and develop the business’s licensing offering as we enter this relatively new stage of growth.”
