The LK Bennett’s founder Linda, is reportedly coming back to the business she founded in 1990 and sold in 2008.

According to ‘The Telegraph’, Bennett has been brought in as a consultant at the firm by its new CEO Darren Topp.

She is believed to be planning to help return the upscale shoes and accessories brand to her original vision of “a little bit of Bond Street on the high street”.

Bennett sold her eponymous label in 2008 to Phoenix Equity Partners and Sirius Equity for 100 million pounds. When Bennett sold the business Robert Bensoussan, co-founder of Sirius Equity, became chairman and he also served as its CEO, most recently from 2014. He handed over the CEO reins to Topp last year and returned to the role of chairman.

Recently, shareholders – including Linda Bennett - injected a further 5 million pounds into the business to support the company’s international expansion into Russia, China, Qatar and New York in the U.S. The business currently operates around 130 stores of which 87 are in the UK.
