Fabio d'Angelantonio has been appointed the new chief executive officer of luxury brand Loro Piana. D'Angelantonio will step into his new role on September 1. He succeeds Matthieu Brisset.

“I am excited to have Fabio take the helm at Loro Piana. He has a great track record in developing brands, retail operations and people across the globe,” said Antoine Arnault, president of the Quarona, Italy-based company. “He also brings a warm personality and Italian touch to continue the development of Loro Piana at the very high end of ready- to-wear and textile products.”

In 2013, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton took a majority stake in Loro Piana. The brand is known for their luxurious cashmere, wool, and fine textiles.

Loro Piana has made it their goal for the past several years to integrate smoothly with LVMH. Brisset's new position is expected to be announced shortly. It could potentially be something within the LVMH family.

D'Angelantonio recently served as chief marketing officer of Luxottica Group, as well as president of Sunglass Hut within the firm. Prior to this role, he held senior positions at Editions Hemma in Brussels and Ciaoweb in Milan.
