Frances Russell, who heads up the womenswear division at high street retailer Marks and Spencer has left the business.

Russell’s exit is the latest key management shake-up for the high street retailer and comes just three weeks after John Dixon, former executive director of general merchandise stepped down.

Director Jo Jenkins, will replace Russell, adding womenswear to her responsibilities of lingerie and beauty. It is understood that Steve Rowe, Dixon’s successor, made the announcement via an internal memo to senior staff stating that he believed that there should be better collaboration within Marks and Spencer’s womenswear department.

“We are pleased to promote Jo Jenkins into the expanded role of director of womenswear, lingerie and beauty. She has a wealth of experience, with excellent product knowledge and great customer understanding,” a Marks and Spencer spokesperson told The Telegraph. “Frances Russell has left the business. We’d like to thank her for her significant contribution to M&S and wish her all the best for the future.”
