US fashion label Ralph Lauren has tapped Geoffroy van Raemdonck as Group President for its Europe division.

Van Raemdonck will be based out of Ralph Lauren's European headquarters in Geneva and is set to report directly to Jacki Nemerov, Ralph Lauren's President and Chief Operating Officer. He will succeed John Hooks in his new role, who has held the position for the past three years.

“John’s leadership has been central to the success of our business in Europe and I want to thank him for his dedication and commitment in supporting the growth of our brand within the region,” said Lauren, the label's Chairman and CEO to WWD.

“Over the next couple of months, John will work closely with Geoffroy in order to ensure a smooth transition of leadership in the European organization.”

Prior to taking on the role at Ralph Lauren, Van Raemdonck was Chief Executive Officer of St. John Knits, a role he recently left on November 6. Before joining the team at the classic knitwear brand, he was president of Louis Vuitton for South Europe and North America.

“I am confident that under Geoffroy’s direction, we will continue to develop our European business and build on our strengths as a premier brand in this important market,” added Nemerov.
