Richard Liewald joins the sportswear design team of Pierre Cardin

Ahlers Ag has announced the appointment of Richard Liewald as Product Manager to strengthen the sportswear division of Pierre Cardin. The company said that the fashion designer joins the business from the Holy Fashion Group, where he spent the past four years working for Strellson's leatherwear, outerwear and coats division.

"Liewald will give us the right push in outerwear as part of the brand modernization of Pierre Cardin," said Karl-Friedrich Schielmann, Managing Director of Pierre Cardin in a statement, adding, "Both in design, as well as in styling and fitting we will clearly see progressive changes in the coming seasons."

Out of 120 Pierre Cardin stores, Ahlers, headquartered in Herford, operates around 24 on its own. In addition, there are 4,600 Pierre Cardin spaces at wholesale customers, including 300 shop-in-shops.
