Richard Nicoll has quietly left his role as creative director for high street retailer Jack Wills. The former London Fashion Week designer, who was appointed creative head at the preppy retailer February 2014, is said to have officially left his role at Jack Wills last October. However, noticed of his termination was only filed at Companies house earlier this week.
Reason for Nicolls departure has not been shared, although according to Drapers, his exit from Jack Wills may be linked to the return of Peter Williams, founder and former CEO who returned to take up the reigns once more last August.
Creative responsibilities at Jack Wills are set to be shared between CEO Williams and chief product officer Emma Alexander, who will oversee the direction of the design team. In spite of Nicoll quiet exit from Jack Wills, he is said to currently have no plans of bringing back to life his former eponymous label. The designer first made his début at London Fashion Week in February 2006, but decided to temporarily shuttered his label when he took on the role at the retailer.
