Salvatore Ferragamo’s group marketing and communications director exits

Antonio Burrello, who had joined Florence-based Salvatore Ferragamo Group as group marketing and communications director in January last year, is leaving the business. A spokesperson of the company confirmed this news to FashionUnited.
Confirming his exit, the company’s spokesperson said: “Antonio Burrello will leave the company on June 29 2018, for personal reasons.”
Before joining Ferragamo, Burrello was associated with the Ermenegildo Zegna group for nearly two decades. Since 2009, he was chief marketing officer the Italian company. Burrello joined Zegna in 1996 as its corporate communications director. He began his career at L’Oréal and Scott and later joined Moët Hennessy as sales and marketing director.
In April this year, the company’s board of directors elected Ferruccio Ferragamo as Executive Chairman and James Ferragamo as Vice Chairman of the group. The company said in a statement that the Chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo has been granted full powers and authority to manage the company. At the same time, Ferragamo also appointed Micaela Le Divelec as new Chief Corporate Officer delaying the decision to name a new chief executive officer after Eraldo Poletto left the company in March.
