Swedish accessories brand Sandqvist, which has been creating canvas and leather bags for more than ten years, has named Caroline Andersson as its new chief executive officer to push forward the developing brand.
Andersson joins from Craft Sportswear where she served as assortment manager and most recently as commercial manager, where she was responsible for structuring the business, developing performance management and commercialisation of the brand. She replaces founder and current CEO, Anton Sandqvist who will step down from his position sometime this autumn.
Commenting on her appointment, Andersson said: “Sandqvist is a wonderful company and brand with high-quality products. Moreover, they are looking to take this company to the next level which I see as a very fun and exciting challenge to take on.”
Anton Sandqvist added: “It feels good and confident in handing over the CEO role to Caroline who with her extensive background in retail business, analytical skills and good leadership, will do a fantastic job.”
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sandqvist employees around 20 people, and has three physical stores and an online presence. Plans for the future include added more international stores targeting the major cities within the next decade.
