Steven Murphy to serve as consultant to Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren Corporation has said that Steven P. Murphy has been hired as a consultant to advise the management regarding strategic and other business matters. He would no longer be a part of the company’s Board of Directors.

“Steven has been a highly valued member of our board and provided us with extensive insight and guidance during his tenure,” said Ralph Lauren, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Murphy served on Ralph Lauren Corporation’s Board since November 2005. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Christie’s International from September 2010 through December 2014 and previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rodale from 2002 to December 2009. He had joined Rodale in 2000 as its President and Chief Operating Officer.
