SuperGroup confirms Wharton as finance boss

London - SuperGroup, the parent company of fashion label SuperDry, has installed Nick Wharton as its permanent chief financial officer, replacing former finance boss Shaun Wills who has left the business after being declared bankrupt.

Wharton, has been interim chief financial officer since February, when he joined from Dunelm where he was chief executive, he will now join the SuperGroup board.

As well as spending four years at Dunelm, Wharton who is a chartered accountant spent eight years at Halfords in finance and strategy roles, and also held senior finance positions at Boots Opticians, Boots Healthcare International, Do-it-All Limited and Cadbury Schweppes.

SuperGroup chairman Peter Bamford said: "I am delighted to announce Nick's appointment. During his time in the interim role he has had a highly positive impact.

“His deep financial management skills and broad retail and business experience will be great assets to SuperGroup.”
