Tanya Taylor names Crystal Slattery president

Tanya Taylor has hired Crystal Slattery as president of her company. The news first broke on WWD. The two knew each other from their days working together at Elizabeth and James, and Taylor found her the perfect person for the role as she works on expanding her eponymous fashion label.

Taylor previously handled the duties and responsibilities of president of her company, and she will remain as CEO and creative director, respectfully. This hiring was a longtime coming, as Taylor was so impressed with how Slattery had built the Elizabeth and James brand, she had the goal of bringing her on board at her label for many years.

Prior to her new role at Tanya Taylor, Slattery worked as president of the contemporary division at Jaya Apparel Group, overseeing the CInq á Sept and Likely businesses. Slattery will be responsible for helping Tanya Taylor build new retail and business partnerships, in addition to formulating marketing strategy around new products. Slattery is planning on expanding the brand into new categories and introducing new products.
