Online pure-player Asos has witnessed a number of changes amongst its management team over the past few weeks, starting with the departure of former Territory Manager for Germany and Northern Europe, Moritz Hau.
Hau had originally been taken on board to spearhead Asos's move into Germany and help set up its offices in Berlin. However, earlier this month news emerged that he had left his role at the British e-tailer to take on a new job at Zalando, as Country Manager for Germany, where he is responsible for all departments and ensuring the offering is as local as possible. Asos's Editorial Director, Melissa Dick, is also set to exit her role after a four year tenure. She is currently on gardening leave, according to Drapers and will leave the team at the end of the next month.
In the meantime, Asos taken on Clifford Cohen as Chief Information Officer, following the exit of it's former CIO Pete Marsden, who left Asos on "mutual" terms last November. He is set to join the team at the online retailer from Marks & Spencer, where he has been acting as interim CIO since last July, and will be the fourth CIO to join Asos since 2010. According to CIO.co.UK, Asos takes Cohen on board prior to the introduction of a fit-for-purpose enterprise resource planning platform to help solve order-processing issues.
