International fashion trade show Tranoï, which takes place in Paris and New York, has named Simon Collins as creative advisor of its newly-created US advisory board for its New York edition, as the trade show looks to expand its overseas presence.
Collins, former dean of fashion at The New School’s Parson School of Design, and who most recently advised WME-IMG on the reinvention of New York Fashion Week, will support Tranoï on identifying and connecting emerging design talent with key industry decision makers, as well as scouting a group of members for the US advisory board to provide strategic input and direction.
Commenting on his new role, Collins said: “Tranoï has always been an essential way to find new and exciting designers. I've spent years identifying emerging talent, so it's a great opportunity to bring the best of Paris and New York together under one roof.”
David Hadida, chief executive officer of Tranoï, added: “Simon's support of emerging talent and knowledge of the US fashion landscape reflects Tranoï’s standards of quality and creative individuality, making him the ideal partner for our New York edition.”
The Tranoï fashion trade show takes place four times a year during Paris Fashion Week and twice a year during New York market week.
