Vans names Doug Palladini Global Brand President

Vans has promoted vice president and general manager of its North America region, Doug Palladini, to global brand president, effectively immediately, in a bid to boost sales in new markets across the globe.

In his new position, Palladini has been tasked will leading and managing the global strategic direction of Vans, while ensuring regional teams are able to develop and execute local strategies. In addition, he also oversees global marketing and product development and will hold direct responsibility for sales in the Americas.

Palladini succeeds Kevin Bailey in his new role, who is to remain president of Vans parent company VF Corporation Action Sports Coalition, which includes the skate-scene inspired brand, Reef and Eagle Creek. His promotion comes after 12 years of working at Vans and Palladini has been credited for helping the label to exceed sales targets and hit 2.2 billion US dollars in revenue.

"Over the course of his 12-year tenure, Doug has made significant contributions to Vans’ brand identity and business growth," said VF Corporation’s Action Sports President Kevin Bailey in a statement. "His remarkable leadership and deep connection to Vans’ heritage will serve him well as he shapes the future of the brand for our employees and consumers around the world."
