Wolverine Worldwide appoints former Anthropologie CEO to board of directors

American footwear and apparel manufacturer Wolverine Worldwide has announced the appointment of David W. McCreight to the company’s board of directors.
McCreight has thirty-years of experience in the industry, most recently serving as president of URBN, Inc. and CEO of its Anthropologie Group. Prior to joining URBN, McCreight also served as president of Under Armour and Lands’ End. Wolverine Worldwide also announced the retirement of Joseph R. Gromek from the company’s board of directors after spending 11 years at the company.
“David has worked for some of the biggest names in apparel and retail, and we are thrilled to add him to our Board of Directors,” Blake W. Krueger, CEO of Wolverine Worldwide, said in a statement. “His expertise in branding and merchandising, as well as his acumen in global direct-to-consumer and international business growth, will play a critical role in helping us drive our global Growth Agenda. His strong leadership and business experience will bring incredible value to our Board.”
McCreight added: “I am very pleased to be joining the Board of Directors of Wolverine Worldwide.
