Fashion and retail consultant Yasmin Sewell has been appointed as fashion director of Condé Nast’s Style.com, which will be relaunched as an e-commerce and omnichannel shopping platform.
Sewell, who has previously worked at Browns and Liberty as buying director and chief creative consultant respectively, has been appointed as fashion director to offer her “deep industry-wide insight” to the e-commerce platform, as well as providing “holistic analysis and visionary advice and strategy” to the project.
Style.com will initially launch in the UK, offering users the opportunity to shop the UK editions of Condé Nast magazines such as Vogue and GQ, through the titles’ print editions and websites, or directly through the online shopping site Style.com. It is expected to launch in 2016.
Franck Zayan, president of Style.com, said: “Yasmin’s unique vision for products, trends and talents will be pivotal in Style.com’s growth. She is one of the most sought-after consultants in the industry, so having her as a full-time member of our team is a great accomplishment.”
Sewell added: "This is a game-changing project and I'm thrilled to be working with the world’s best and most exciting brands, and to set a strong vision for the evolution of Style.com.”
