Menswear label Ben Sherman is beginning the roll out of its monobrand stores as part of an ongoing multi-year deal with BSI Apparel.

The agreement was made last year between the retail group and Ben Sherman’s parent company Marquee Brands, which handed over the licensing rights to BSI with the goal of bringing the label back to UK high streets.

As such, the companies set about on a strategy to put “significant investments” into mono-brand locations and wholesale retail accounts, with the first result of such coming in the form of a London pop-up store.

The 1,036 square foot space is located in Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross, and will house Signature and B by Ben Sherman collections, as well as the brand’s upcoming limited-edition capsules.

The opening will be followed by additional flagship stores that will be introduced to major cities throughout the year.

In a release, executive vice president of fashion and lifestyle at Marquee Brands, Tim Reid, said: "It's time for Ben Sherman to be back on the coolest high streets in the country. Ben Sherman recently celebrated 60 years of an incredible legacy, ending last year with notable limited-edition collaborations in partnership with Rolling Stone and John Lennon.

“We look forward to positive brand expansion as we open new stores. As we head into our ‘Year of Sport’ and the upcoming Olympics, visitors to the store will be the first to shop the latest collections and forthcoming collaborations.”
